Phone Authentication - Data Services
Authentify offers a number of services to help raise the confidence level that a telephone number can be trusted. Authentify’s Global Telephone Data Services rely on a combination of published information, empirical SS7 telephone network analysis and other data sources to help determine if a telephone is in the hands of the person claiming the number as their own. Sample information about a phone number includes type of phone used, Geo-location of the phone's exchange, billing history of the phone number and mailing address of the name registered to the phone. This information helps authenticate an online account by raising possible "red flags" regarding the phone number such as a short billing history or a registered address that differs from a shipping address provided online.
The Analytical service can be used as either a risk analysis tool prior to a telephone call, or a post processing tool for validating registration information received.
