Hong Kong’s Chief Executive
Welcomes Authentify CEO

Internet Security Firm Recognized for Unique Ability to Secure InternetTransactions using Voice Authentication

Hong Kong -- July 11, 2006 – Authentify announced that Mr. Peter G. Tapling, Authentify President and CEO, and Mr. Robert Soden, Authentify Regional Director for Asia, were invited by Invest HK to a reception today for the local Chief Executive of Hong Kong Mr. (Mr. Donald Tsang). The event was organized for Mr. Donald Tsang (CE of HK) to meet companies that have established and expanded operations in Hong Kong during the past year.

“Many of the international organizations we work with have asked us to help them secure Internet applications deployed in Asia, which made Honk Kong a natural choice for our operations in the region,” disclosed Robert P. Soden, Regional Director of Authentify Ltd who manages Authentify operations from its base in Hong Kong. “As banks and e-commerce organisations strive to combat Identity theft and increase online security, they are recognizing that the phone offers a very secure and simple-to-use multi-factor authentication
system.”

“With the increased need for stronger authentication throughout the online community, especially in the financial services arena, this is an exciting time for Authentify to introduce our economical and easy to integrate voice authentication system in Asia,” said Peter Tapling. “We were honored to be recognized as a leader in the field and look forward to contributing to Hong Kong’s success’’.

Authentify’s recognition as a leader in the area of Internet security comes at a time when many organizations struggle with the protection of online transactions. Financial institutions in particular have been prompted to incorporate stronger authentication as a result of the recent FDIC/FFIEC Guidance, FIL-103-2005 in the USA, which requires stronger authentication for Internet access to financial accounts by the end of 2006. Similar legislation mandating banks to incorporate two-factor authentication across Asia Pacific is also taking place, with countries such as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong all seeking to implement solutions.

Authentify was awarded the SC Magazine 2006 Awards in the categories of Best Authentication and Best Biometric Device.
