95% of Users Prefer the Security and Convenience of the Authentify User Authentication Platform, BetaSphere Feedback Program Concludes

Authentify Teams Up With BetaSphere to Validate User Experience for Authentify 3.0

CHICAGO, IL and PALO ALTO, CA - April 16, 2002 - Authentify, Inc.™, a leading provider of Internet identity solutions, and BetaSphere, the leading provider of software and services that enable customer-centric product development, today released the overwhelmingly positive results of Authentify’s customer feedback program. The program, which included hundreds of users from companies as diverse as Eli Lily and Bank One, found that the vast majority of users prefer Authentify’s user authentication platform over other market alternatives.

Highlights of the program results include: Over 95% of users found the service convenient and fast and 87% of users even found the process fun. For receiving information like Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and passwords, over 95% of users found the service more convenient than mail and almost 96% of users found the service as or more convenient and secure than e-mail. In fact, an astounding 99% of users had an equal or higher confidence in the Authentify process when compared with U.S. mail.

Leveraging BetaSphere’s Feedback Management Server (FMS)™ software and database of more than 50,000 new product evaluators, Authentify and BetaSphere set out to recruit evaluators representing Authentify’s key markets. Hundreds of evaluators participated in the program, providing feedback through their own personalized Web portals. Using FMS, evaluators successfully completed a demo of Authentify 3.0 and a field trial evaluation, while the Authentify team was able to capture information in a central repository and collaborate with evaluators on the feedback they provided. FMS also enabled the team to automatically route issues, comments, and suggestions, gather testimonials, analyze feedback, and report on the results.
