Authentify™ Announces Authentify 3.0 with Voice Application Services
Authentify Partners with Nuance to deliver Speech Recognition Technology
CHICAGO, IL - January 14, 2002 - Authentify, Inc.™, a leading provider of automated authentication solutions, has just announced the release of Authentify 3.0, the secure voice application platform. The offering includes a new voice-based user interface, verified voice recording content, as well as PIN/Password delivery.
By adding speech recognition, the platform allows a customer’s applications to be both more secure and easier to use. Speech recognition allows users to interact with the Authentify system naturally, as if they were having a conversation. At the same time the technology insures that the content of a voice recording is what is expected.
“In addition to allowing people to navigate the system with their voice, the new platform can, for example, allow our customers to know for a fact that users are verbally consenting to terms and conditions.” Said John Zurawski Vice President of Marketing for Authentify. “We can take a recording of a person’s voice agreeing to terms of a transaction and be certain of what they said without using any of our customer’s CSR time. And it’s nearly impossible to refute a clean recording later on.”
Authentify 3.0 allows businesses to deliver PIN/passwords in real time using an out-of-band trusted network, the telephone. Organizations today may use the postal service as the out-of-band network to deliver temporary PIN/passwords, but that could take up to 14 days for a user to receive it. The Authentify solution increases security, convenience and makes the transaction more auditable while it lowers costs and drop out rates.
In addition to Authentify’s technology the company is partnered with Nuance communications of California and is using the Nuance 7 platform. Authentify plans to add a number of other Nuance capabilities over the coming months, including speaker verification and text-to-speech technology.
