Authentify™ and Entrust Provide Enhanced Registration for Internet Security Services

Entrust Partner Extranet Site First to Utilize Combined Offering, Creating Easier Enrollment for PKI-Secured Sites

CHICAGO, IL - August 21, 2001 - Authentify, Inc.™, a leading provider of Internet identity solutions, today announced a collaboration with Entrust, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTU), a leading global provider of enhanced Internet security solutions and services, to provide enhanced enrollment services to Web sites. As part of the collaboration, Entrust is using the integrated offering for its Entrust Partner Extranet Site.

Authentify|Register™ interoperates with the Entrust Authority Self-Administration Server version 5.0 which automates end user enrollment and recovery of digital identities over the Web. The Entrust Authority Self-Administration Server establishes a trust relationship between the system administrator and the end user, based upon a pre-existing secret. The secret is then shared by the end user and the administrator in order to confirm the user’s identity. Authentify|Register interoperates with the Entrust Authority Self-Administration Server, making deployment of user registration to a secured site quicker and easier.

Authentify|Register is an automated solution that enables organizations to perform real-time, two-factor user authentication during an Internet session by synchronizing an Internet session with an automated, outbound telephone call, without requiring additional hardware or client software. During this call, a keypad entry from the user is required and a voice recording or other customized voice application is collected. The process not only acts as a strong deterrent to fraudulent Internet activity, it also allows Authentify to collect an audit trail of the entire transaction.

Entrust is using the Authentify|Register service in combination with the Entrust Authority Self-Administration Server internally for the Entrust Partner Extranet Site to provide registrants with a fast, easy-to-use and secure way to access the extranet. Entrust’s Partner Extranet Site was developed to manage processes and to securely exchange sensitive information with third-party vendors.
