Authentify™ and Acxiom® to Create "Safety in the Numbers"

Telephone Numbers and Associated Data Combine to Strengthen Online Transaction Authorization, Resulting in Unparalleled Security

CHICAGO, IL - August 6, 2001 - Authentify, Inc.™, a leading provider of Internet identity solutions, today announced an agreement with Acxiom® to include features from Acxiom's InfoBase TeleSource® product into its automated Internet identity management solutions. This agreement will allow Authentify to attach additional identification characteristics to the telephone number of anyone attempting an Internet transaction that is validated by the Authentify platform.

Authentify enables organizations to perform real-time, two-factor user authentication during an Internet session via a standard web browser and telephone line, without requiring additional hardware or client software. By integrating Acxiom services, Authentify will be able to link a telephone number with a billing name, physical address and type, including whether it is a business or residential number. This information allows Authentify to validate the authenticity of a phone number and to geographically correlate the area code and exchange combination with the zip code.
