Emerging Provider of Internet Identity Solutions Rounds Out Executive Management Team with Strategic Appointment

CHICAGO - March 13, 2001 - Authentify, Inc., an emerging provider of Internet identity solutions, today announced the appointment of Kevin McPherson as Vice President of Finance and Administration, CFO. McPherson brings more than 18 years of financial and accounting experience with technology companies to Authentify.

"Kevin is an accomplished veteran in the technology business and extends the strength of our management team," said Peter Tapling, president and CEO of Authentify. "His breadth of experience, from very early stage companies to public companies, will be extremely valuable to Authentify as we develop our business."

Prior to joining Authentify, McPherson was Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of Teach.com, an e-learning company that was sold to Intellinex in November 2000. McPherson also served as VP of Finance and Controller at Scios, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company, and prior to this worked at Hewlett-Packard Company in various accounting and financial management positions. McPherson began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.
